WHAT WE DO

Manufacturing

Our manufacturing philosophy is to:

  • Provide highly motivated people with a stable operation
  • Allow them to produce the correct part at the appropriate time in the right quantity with superior quality

We focus on the customer and continuous improvement activities. TPS (Toyota Production System) tools promote continuous improvement in quality, elimination of waste, and reduction of lead-times.

Technology

  • Cutting edge DC resistance welding techniques used on thick gage coated steels
  • AC welding techniques used for cost effective resistance spot and projection welding
  • Error proofing fixtures at all resistance weld stations verify presence and proper alignment of all components
  • Robotic GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) [MIG] implemented using the latest in Pulsed Spray Transfer techniques for optimum metal transfer
  • Manual GMAW is performed only by certified welders
  • Periodic quality tests ensure weld integrity

Advanced Product Development

During "Proactive Development", idea generation is stimulated by assessing the environment from three perspectives; new technology applications, solving customer and industry problems, and anticipating end user needs and trends. Ideas are evaluated and prioritized. Resources are allocated, and research begins.

During the "Ideation Stage", documentation and 3D models provide the stimulus for brainstorming concept directions. Concept designs and design refinement follow. Reporting at a formal presentation is the final step to leading the way for industry innovations.
